Maçarico Lupini Beans (Tremoços) – 870g

Maçarico Tremoços are lupini beans cured in brine, the classic Portuguese snack served with a cold drink. This large 870g jar (550g drained) is sized for parties and families.

Tremoços are high in plant protein and fiber and low in fat. To eat them, nip the skin with your teeth, pop the bean into your mouth and leave the skin behind. They're ready to eat: no soaking needed.

Serve chilled in a small bowl with olives, or dress them with olive oil, garlic and parsley.
